Leadership’s Blind Spot in the Age of AI

AI’s computation and pattern-recognition capabilities don’t encompass all intelligence. Leaders must also cultivate organic intelligence as expressed by embodied cognition, as well as source intelligence, which springs from the social field. The author argues that organizations must invest in deep-sensing infrastructure just as they invest in artificial intelligence, lest they be limited to executing and augmenting existing patterns rather than reshaping patterns or originating new ones.
