Beating 'Not Invented Here' Syndrome
Hard cases of not-invented-here syndrome can be either incentivized or pushed to open up to new ideas. Doubters need to be persuaded by means of incentives such as recognition, awards, transfers, or promotions. Resisters can be pushed to accept external ideas through new innovation processes, job rotations, employee swaps, P&L responsibility, or assignments that continuously deal with external ideas.
